Built to Last

The core and shell structure of the building is made of heavy steel and magnesium oxide SIP panels. The magnesium oxide SIP panels are comprised of polystyrene and lightweight aluminum sandwiched between two layers of magnesium oxide board. This structure is engineered to withstand 130 mph winds, Class D seismic, and extreme heat. In addition, the magnesium oxide SIP panels are Class A fire-rated, 100% waterproof and provide insulation that has an R-Value of 25.  Magnesium Oxide board is 100% inorganic material, it is mold, fungi, and mildew resistant and contains zero foodstuffs for pests to consume.

Light

The vegetative and flowering areas of Fields of Light Farms sit under a translucent, polycarbonate roof, providing full-spectrum light from the sun. The benefits of using the sun to grow cannabis scale beyond obvious decreased power use and overall sustainability initiatives. Sun-grown Cannabis flower has more complex cannabinoids, richer terpene profiles and promotes more desirable structural integrity. In addition to the natural sunlight, we use a mix of LED, HPS, and CMH lights throughout our facility so that we can dictate the daily light integral and spectrum of light that each Veg and Flowering plant receive 365 days a year.

Advanced Environmental Controls and CO2

Our facility is a fully enclosed building with state-of-the-art HVAC equipment and humidity controls. Our mechanical system incorporates twelve 35-ton SA units with a cooling tower resulting in 600 tons of cooling capacity in conjunction with advanced relative humidity controls throughout our entire facility creating the most favorable environmental conditions during every stage of production.

Our facility also uses an AI-driven CO2 injection system with lines that run throughout the canopy. This system reads the environmental factors around the plant and releases CO2 throughout the day at the canopy level.

Automation

Fields of Light is a smart farm with an operating system and state-of-the-art sensors to automate the HVAC control system, light deprivation system, artificial light controls, and schedule feedings through the fertigation system.

Designed for Efficiency

Our 50,000 SF facility was completed in the fall of 2020, designed using Kaizen philosophy to promote optimal production workflows. The facility includes a 1,500 SF Nursery; 4,500 SF of Vegetative Space; 32,000 SF of Flowering Canopy; and an additional 12,000 SF dedicated to temperature controlled post-harvest, office space, storage, manufacturing and distribution. We are currently producing over 600 pounds of cannabis flower per month, on average, in our active 22,000 SF, Tier 2 mixed-light licensed facility.

Security and Compliance

Security is provided by Veterans High-Risk Security Solutions, which is veteran-owned and operated. VHRSS provides 24/7/365-armed security to the park and our facility. The Facility is already outfitted with the necessary security cameras and access controls and has already passed local and state requirements. Our Facility is governed by a Master CUP and Specific Plan which allows for speed and ease for licensing at both the local and state level. The facility is 100% compliant with the Department of Cannabis Control for the State of California. The Facility has passed every local and state inspection that has occurred on the property and has also remained 100% compliant with the California Department of Pesticide Regulations.
